My car won't start. The starter cranks fine but the car won't fire. I've checked the fuses and everything's fine there. When I turn the key to the ACC position with the ventilation off, there's dead silence. You are supposed to hear the fuel pump wiht the key in the ACC position correct?
If I do have a bad fuel pump, is there anyway to be absolutely positive that it is a bad fuel pump without pulling the gas tank?
Does anyone know where I can get a fuel pump for a 2.8 V6 engine?

Thanks!

Sorry about that. I meant RUN position not ACC position.

Apply +12v to the Fuel pump terminal of the ALDL and see if the fuel pump runs. It's not quite 100% but its pretty close. If the fuel pump still doesn't run plan on dropping the tank. You should be able to get a replacement at the local parts store.

Just had the sane issue in my GT. Make sure it's not just a fuse issue. There is an amazing write up with pics by brocepus (?) on how to drop the tank. One thing I did a little different, once the new pump was back in I had a helper hold a bucket over the hoses of the tank while if was sitting on top of the engine plugged back in to verify the pump was working. I've heard that sometimes the polarity can be opposite on new pumps...

Here's the LINK

replace that stupid in-tank hose when you have it out. Trust me. You'll thank yourself.

Oh, and never use a 4-cylinder in-tank hose on a v6 pump (again, it will save you time).

The only thing I do differently than the above link is use a brass, aluminum, or plastic drift to open the tank, as they won't spark.

Good luck!

Also Check C502, G201 and G202... bad there will cause problem with new pump.
