got some shots of the fiberglass on them about 4 layers i think
cut the back out and pulled out the foam and as much of the tape as i could
[IM afteri got the foam and tape out i put a couple layers of fiberglass on the seams G]http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z256/1980cutlassben/IMG_2612.jpg[/IMG]
im hoping tommorrow i can get started on the vents themselves
my other projects i sand down then put a layer of just resin over top. possible two. it gives it a very smooth surface for paint
Yeah.... that's not really a good idea either. Resin is not made to be a surface coating, & will probably crack with age. If you use mat, you can sand & prime the finished product & block for painting. I use PPG epoxy primer first, & if there's a lot of blocking needed I go over that with a high-build primer (catalyst-hardened). When the surface is smooth/flat, I seal it with the epoxy for maximum adhesion. Just so you know, I've been doing custom fiberglass & mold work since the early '70s. ~ Paul aka "Tha Driver"

HA! That was good for a laugh!
Your going to sand and prime your arms? I don't think that will feel very good either.

Looking good here, great idea, I am a do it yourselfer at heart and my side panels are stock and one is even cracked like yours were. I am watching and learning here. I suppose that these are going on a GT due to the shape of them. Cannot wait to see them sanded and finished.... peace

Question: you now have the air streaming into the scoop, heading straight for the INNER Fender (which will mostly cover it), Are you going to "duct" it anywhere for a particular purpose ?

I was gonna say the same thing. As cool as it looks, some air flow couldn't hurt.
