I have upper frame rust in the back of my 86 fiero when i pulld of the fastback clip. any thing i can do to patch it up ?

You can either do as I did in this thread here and fabricate new sheet metal parts: www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/102998.html or replace the entire upper frame rail with some square tubing as some folks have done using drawings by a PFF'er posted somewhere else. PM me if you are interested in more details about how I made the frame rail parts on mine.

Rebuilding the trunk corner with sheet metal:



Rebuilt trunk corner with some bondo to hide my crappy welding:



Cost in metal and supplies (gas for the welder) is minimal, it just takes time to do (especially if you are sloooow like me!).
The worst part is removing the rear clip so you can actually work on it. You have to remove the headliner etc and I pulled the tank as well since I was welding near the fuel filler. Seemed like good way to avoid another burning Fiero!
