"I am planning on a LZ9/3900 upgrade next year. Same block, drop and bolt in. Reprogramming the LZ9 PCM will cost about $200, but low mileage engines are so readily available and CHEAP-About $600. 240 horse and 240 foot pound of torque with an unusual wide and broad power curve thanks to VVT and an active intake system."
What vehicle do you find a 3900 in and a "bolt-in swap"?
GM stopped doing the variable intake, it doesn't matter really but just thought I would mention it. They came is G6's and impala's for sure. they all cross check on car-part.com. It does bolt in but there are a few supporting details that will need to be addressed like returnless fuel system and oil filter clearance.
