Hey, So I have a clean 1984, the original duke went out. I now have an opportunity to buy a 2.8V6 with harness, cradle and ECM from a 1986. I was hopping someone could help me find a build thread on how to do the swap. Or just tell what else I need to do the swap. Thanks.

I might be helping out with this swap if it isn't going to be a nightmare. The 84 is in great shape, just missing the engine. It is a 4 speed. The engine is an 88 2.8 with an auto. The swap will turn the 84 into a 2.8 with the duke's 4 speed. The cradle is an 86 from a GT. All the wiring from the V-6 is there. If all the 88 wiring is used, what is the hard part on the 84 chassis? Just the fuel wiring? fuel pump? radiator? I know the c500 has to be relocated and another hot supply for the second bank of injectors. Are there any other problems with this conversion?
Also, with the donor being an 88, will the flywheel from the 84 work? will it need an 88 flywheel/clutch?
Thanks.

C500 and C203 pinouts are different. On the 84 all the power for the car runs through C500. You wont be able to just plug in the 88 harness, it will need rewired to match. I will see if I can find my 84 pinout info and post it here.
Not sure of the accuracy of these, as I remember there were some errors in them I had to figure out as I went. I made notes on the errors I will try to find and correct anything I found wrong. I've been meaning too anyway !
84 C203
Pin A= Upshift light B= Fuel pump power to relay C= Check Engine light D= A/C enable relay control E= Oil light F= HIR +12v fuel pump/ECM H= 1/2 VSS signal from speedo K= A/C from relay N= A/C power from fuse to relay P= TCC +12v when brake not applied R= +12v when cranking

Your Fiero looks like it's in really good shape. I bet the environment plays a role in that (i.e. not a lot of rain or snow). Is that the original paint?

I almost forgot, I have the V-6 air cleaner housing and the other parts I didn't use on my swap. Let me know when you get to that part. Get that thing running!

So it's been along time since I updated on this. I have almost all the parts now just waiting on a bracket to come in. I should have the engine next weekendish.
Found out why the engine lost oil pressure. The drive rod connector broke into 3 pieces...
