I found a link to a group in indiananpolis indiana automotive service group. They claim they are taking caddi 4.9 and upgrading internals and shaving heads or something and getting 285 HP and 330 + TQ. And wider power band! 6000 redline? And there selling engine and tranny combo for like $5200 ish. Looks like there might be a minus tranny $1900 discount. Anyone heard anything? Ohh !nd they sey they will install for $750 ill get link and post it!

Looks to me to be pricey, but the HP & Torque numbers are impressive... The install is assumed to be into a Cadillac, they may decline the fiero.

I am not really into putting another engine into my fiero. (Until this 3800 dies. When it does, I may go the V8 route. The engine is only 24,000 miles old total, so I have time.)

Thanks for fixing that link. I was posting from the phone. Hard to copy and paste haha. They mention putting it in a w body or something. Is that a lumina? And as a 2.8 replacement. I e-mailed them to see if you can drop that tranny and get engine only but I'm still assuming 3k.
