Like the title implies....what is the best way to get these things out?

Assuming you mean the ones like at the bottom of door skins... Use a hammer and punch to punch in the center, and they come right out.

There's a couple of different styles, some like the ones that hold on the bottom of the rear fasica, with a push pin in the center that all you need to do is pull the pin back up and lift on the larger head of the rivet. But I'm assuming you mean the non-reuseable ones like the ones at the bottom of the door skins, in which case the best method is just to take a wood chisel and snap the heads off.

I agree, they aren't worth saving when you can buy new ones at Autozone for about $.25 each. Too much hassle to try and save them IMHO
