So I had to remove my front cover because I had a coolant
leak when I tried to fill my car after swaping in a 4.9.
What I found was there is a small hole in the water inlet tube
that connects to the back of the front cover. I am trying to figure the best route
to repair. I have a mig so I could use that. Or should I just
track a new part down. I could fix the piece today of I put a mew piece of stock
on the inlet. Or just repair the hole. What does everyone recommend?

You could use the mig on it, just be warned that it is fairly thin. I personally would just put on a new one - I bought one for my car and IIRC it was fairly cheap.
