Does anyone make and sell ceramic brake pads for the Fiero to prevent brake dust from the traditional pads?

Thanks, Doug

dont use ceramics where they didnt come stock, they are a more harsh material, the the rotors are not designed to vent for the extra heat that they will make and you risk warping them.

anyone who wants to argue this can take it up with bendix and wagner, its from both of their tech bulletins that we had received.

Impossible! The "amount of heat" (i.e. heat energy) generated by the brakes in a given stop is always going to be the same regardless of pad or rotor material, disc or drum. Can you cite specific Bendix or Wagner publications?

FWIW, I do agree with you that some pad materials may be less compatible with OEM rotors than the stock pads. Anecdotally, I have had excellent results (including low dusting and low rotor wear) on my '88 Fiero using Wagner "Thermoquiet" pads. The Wagner part numbers are MX378 for the '88, both front and rear, MX261 for the '84-'87 front, and MX262 for the '84-'87 rear, and all of these come with a lifetime warranty which includes normal service wear.

I do not know if EBC makes brake pads for the fiero calipers... That being said I am using EBC redstuff on my 1990 corvette brakes on my fiero and they are amazing! Very little to no dust and the hotter they get the harder they grab. They are a non-metallic pad and should not eat through rotors like the metallic pads do. Prices are a little high (I paid about 75 per axle so about 150 total) but so far I have no complaints and am extremely happy with my brake performance. They also make a pad called green stuff that I have heard nothing but good things about but it is not quite as high performance as the redstuff. They also make race only pads but I am very satisfied with the redstuff.

i dont have the papers anymore, but for wagner, they wont even make a pad that didnt come o.e. anymore....

they have no PD(ceramic) pad for a car that came with semi metallic.
