There are always questions on posting pictures on PFF. I use the PIP some but find the photo share sites much easier to use.

I landed on Photobucket as the one I like to use. There are lots of other good ones out there.

They have updated their site to make it easier to use so here are some new instructions for those that might like to use it and need some help.

First thing you do it goto the Photobucket site and open an account for yourself. This is self explanatory so will leave that to you. Just click the Join Now link.

After you have an account your ready to add your photos.
As you add photos think about how you will use and save them. You can create Albums (folders or directories) to keep your pictures in to sort them. (the create link is at the bottom of the album list) You can do this anytime you want or move photos to them later. Just remember if you have used a photo link on PFF and then you move a photo later the link on PFF will no longer be valid. Your photo will be uploaded to whichever album you are currently in so be sure to select the album before you do the upload. This will save having to move the photo later.

You can then choose an albums or just use the main album and your ready to upload files.
In the upload box you can choose the size you want the pictures to be in the drop down box and then browse and select one of more pictures to upload. (hold your control key down to select several different pictures)
As soon as you have selected them and hit open they will upload to your album.

Now you have a picture to use. Simply float over the picture and the links will open below the pic. For PFF just select and copy the IMG link and paste it into your post... Your done...!

Have a video.. you can upload that also and past it just like a picture.

I'm sure many of the other photo share web site work much the same way..

Nice write up, but I can't count how many threads on various forums that have all the nice 'this picture has been removed or deleted' Photobucket pics in place of the original useful pictures...

Whats wrong with PIP?

There is nothing wrong with PIP. The only thing I don't care for is having to spend time sizing the photo correctly so it will upload. The photo share sites do that for you automatically. Also can you go back and find a photo you posted to reuse it again months later if you can't find the original post?
Maybe its just my lack of knowledge in the use of PIP. It just seems to be a simple get-r-done type of image posting without any bells and whistles.
The broken links/missing photos is an issue if someone kills/changes their account. I believe I've seen that with some PIP photos also.

Good one Dodge!

All I have ever used is Photobucket. I don't know any other way. It works good for me.
