What is a good option for my ailing passenger side headlight motor which is moving slowly, making funny noises, and sticking in the down position now. Has anyone had luck by rebuilding these?

They are simple to rebuild... I did mine in my 86. Do you have the 84-86 motors or 87-88 motors? Either way I bought the replacement gear/kit from Rodney Dickman and he sends instructions on how to rebuild them. I am not quite sure if yours need to be rebuilt but something isn't working right.
If you have the 84-86 motors check out Buddycraigg's videos on Youtube. Just do a search using Buddycraigg and Fiero and you will find them. He has done a complete set of videos to trouble shoot the motors and rebuild them.
