I just got done doing the water pump on the GT last night. I don't think it was as bad as some would think, true it was a PITA, but I have done worse jobs on a Fiero. One thing that did hold me up was that the holes for the bolts that hold the pulley on were tapped wrong from the rebuilder. I didn't find this out till the pump was mounted.... I chased the threads while it was in the car and it added about an hour extra on the length of the job.

Next time I will check these BEFORE I put the pump in......

Yeah those water pumps are a PITA! We just finished one on my GT last weekend. No problem with threads but the pulley stayed on the old pump until it was out of the car. Made my brother (the mechanic) real happy . . . . .
