Fells,
Do the side mirrors of the Fiero accept any other car? I think someone once told me that Corvette mirrors are an exact remove and replace. I would love to get the stock Corvette de-fogger to work on my Fiero. Any ideas?

Cordially,
Kevin

The Fiero outside mirror glass is the same as 84-96 Corvette, 82-93 Firebird, 82-92 Camaro, 86-88 El Camino, 78-88 Monte Carlo, 86 Caprice & Impala and 85-88 Caballero & Sprint. Not sure if any or all the housings will bolt up.

The Camaro housing is slightly different, sits lower or something, hard to explain. I have a Camaro power mirror on my passenger side, and it kinda sags down...

I put heated C4 Vette mirror glass in my Fiero. The glass is the same size but I found that the motor drive pins were 90 deg out. I hunted around in my parts bucket and came up with some Fiero mirror shells that would accept the Vette motor brackets. Seems that the GM used about 3-4 different setups in the mirror shells.

I got some Camaro power mirrors (used the Fiero shell/case) and installed into the Fiero without problems in that area. Inside I used the Ford switch that can be installed at the stock door mirror knob.

The answers are all here.

//www.fiero.nl/forum/A...050410-2-057316.html

The shells are different between Fiero and C4 and Firebird /Camaro and others. It wasn't close enough for my taste, so I have the Corvette glass and motors, (which do mate even though it's 90 degree out) mounted in the Fiero shells.

Actually on my chop top I switched to 96 Aurora mirrors. They are not 100% bolt-up but can be made to fit. I have the heated ones on the Indy now.
