Just replaced the water pump and timing case gaskets on 85 v6. Put it back together and there's water everywhere. It appears to be coming from around the tstat housing, either the housing gasket or one or more hoses. It was running along the bottom of the the hose that goes to the heater pipe.
I noticed there's a couple of very small pipes at the back of the tstat housing that I think go to the throttle body.

Can I remove those?
Will it affect the running of the motor at all?
Do I just block up the pipes on the tstat housing or do I need to join them together with a small hose.

Just wondering if I can simplify the plumbing and and remove potential leaks.

Thanks

I joined mine together, I believe blocking them works fine too though. Someone here was selling nicely modified T-stat housings with those attachments removed and welded smooth.
