this car was sitting for a long time. when i put it back on the road it ran fine, i had it out for a ride and smoke was poring out of the rear deck fents.. when i stopped to check it out it looked like the EGR PIPE was super hot and smoking i pulled off the vac hose to the EGR and got it home, smoke stopped .. any thoughts on that to look for ,,,,,,,, thanks,,,,,,,,,,, vince 87 GT

The EGR tube will get hot, that's normal. You should find out what is smoking, though. Perhaps something crawled inside the heat shield, or debris worked it's way in there for some reason. What does the smoke smell like?
