...isn't all that bad.
I purchased the brake rotor package (made in China) from the Fiero Store. Now I'm wondering how good it will be.
Any comments on them?

Many (most) aftermarket parts are made in China. Even if you go to a GM dealer, those replacement parts are probably made in China. You would need to look specifically for "made in USA" parts and be willing to pay more for them.

The parts will work as advertised, may warp a little more easily under lots of hard breaking because of the less expensive (cheaper) metal that is used in their manufacture.

Hmm, thats true about most aftermarket parts are made over there. Well, we will see. As long as they don't burst in pieces its all good I guess.
Probably I'm just a bit too sensitive about this stuff.

I've had pretty good luck with fiero store brake rotors and pads on my 88

The calipers on the other hand plain old suck. I must have gone through 2 full sets rebuilt calipers from them before I decided to say screw it and order them from NAPA.

Heh, I thought about that. I'm curious as to how much modification for mounting is needed for larger brake rotors and calipers, or even just a swap the grand am brakes. Anyone know off the top of their head, or have a link to another thread about that?
