i am wanting to put a getrag on my sc3800 and am wondering if ill need a new flywheel, i think i remeber hearing to use the camaro 5 spd flwheel but am not sure

You can buy the camaro flywheel, buy a flywheel from various suppliers such as West Coast Fieros, or have your existing flywheel plugged, redrilled to the 3800 bolt pattern and resurfaced.

i bought a flywheel for a 1996+ 3800 v6 camaro/firebird, took it to a machine shop had it turned down to .85" from the crankshaft face to the clutch face, its .85" then i gave them the flexplate from the donor motor and told them to match the balance between the flexplate and the flywheel.

most shops around here charge between $100-200 to do this service
