Ready to do a rebuild on the 88 Gt rear suspension. I can see the parts are going to be difficult to find.

I want to replace all bushings with OEM style rubber, ball joints, etc.

Fierostore extremely limited and Rodney is about the same.

Anyone got some pointers?

Ball joints shouldn't be an issue as the 88 doesn't have any on the rear.

(Sorry, just couldn't resist)

since moving into our new house a couple months ago I can't seem to find most of my Fiero scribbles and notes, but I did extensive research on this when I did my own 88 a year or two ago. There are GM made bushing that have the same dimentions as the original bushings, both for the front and the rear, even though GM no longer lists replacements for the Fiero. bump this a few more times and perhaps someone will notice it that has the GM numbers for the rear. I did find some scribbles for the front, unfortunatly I disn't note exactly which point these fit except that they work for the front of an 88. I did my own car, so I guess they worked however GM# 462980 and #470722

If I find the info on the rear bushings I'll get back to you

From what I've read, there are no OEM replacement rear bushings for 88. There are no ball joints, so all you have to deal with are the bushings on the rear suspension links. Those links were replaced as a unit with bushings already installed, so I don't think you can get replacement rubber.

You can get a poly bushing kit for it; however, so if your bushings are shot, that's an option.

The poly kit is available from Summit Racing. Part number: PTP-7-305 $60.39.
Use PN: PTP-7-305-BL for black bushings instead of red.

As I said above, GM does not list bushjings specifically for the Fiero, but there are GM bushings intended for other cars that work perfectly for both the front and rear (yes the strut rods are replaced as an assembly and therefore don't have rubber only replacements)
