I know that for 86 and up, the SE/GT/Formula gauges are backlit, so they have uniform illumination and can be easily read. Did this update take place for the 4 cylinder gauges as well, or are they all crap like mine?

Thanks
Kurt

I think they stayed the same, with the reflective lighting.

I have an 88 4-cyl, and it has front-lit gauges. But I made them brighter with with these. Search for "gauges" to find the kind I used. I got them in Amber.
(No, I don't work for this company, but I'm real happy with their product.)

They are all pretty much crap. I want to stay stock on my Indy, but even with the brightest bulbs available they are still pretty dim.

SHeesh I turn mine down because I don't like them blaring in my face. I have the same base model front lit ones. (But I do that with every car I own)
