Ok I believe I just fixed a vacumn leak on my fiero and I want to reset the ecm so the code dissapears. Do I disconnect the negative battery cable and drive it at 35+ mph for like 5 mins. Should I WArm the car to operating temperature before driving it?

Just pull the battery or even easier just pull the ecm fuse for a couple min.

Then just drive it.

You can disconnect the battery (negative terminal) for about 30 seconds, reconnect it and drive the car normally. The ECM will "relearn" idle and other parameters as you drive.
There is also a single wire connector on the passenger side between the battery and the suspension strut mount. It comes out of the harness, through the connector, and back into the harness. Disconnecting this wire will also clear the ECM memory, but will preserve your radio presets and clock. Unhook it for 30 seconds, reconnect, and go for a drive.

wait... so do I pull the ecm fuse while the car is running and then drive it or do I pull the negative battery cable and drive the car and it should reset right. What I am trying to say is do I run the car while the negative is disconnected?

No just kill the power setting nice and snug in the garge or where ever, then repower and drive.
