Will the Allante 4.1 intake setup fit on the 4.9 motor?

I forget which page in the above thread, but there are pics of what is involved in transplanting the Allante intakes onto a 4.9 block. And the latest pics in that same thread show the finished product.

Step one is to obtain a 1989 or later Allante donor. Check that the part number on the cylinder heads of both the 4.9 and Allante match. This will ensure that the water passage between the lower manifold and heads is identical in shape. Otherwise they will be of a different shape and not work unless you get some welding/milling machine shop work done.

It will bolt on.....But the water passages are different and you may end up with water leaking into the lifter valley into the oil.

The intake ports entering the head on the 4.1 are also smaller than the 4.5 and 4.9

The 4.1 upper half is exactly the same as the 4.5....... except that the 4.1 has an EGR valve and the 4.5 doesn't
