A friend of mine here in German is rebuilding a 2.8 that had been left sitting out in the rain. The cylinder walls need to be bored out and a few other things. I told him that when he was doing that anyway that he could go with the 3.1 stroker kit.

Where can I get more info about the kit and where can I get one.

Thanks in advance for any help,

F1F

then 3.1 stroker kit is a GM 3.1/3.4 crank, 3.1 pistons from a 3.1 camaro, and a '88 2.8 flywheel
the easy way is to get a 3.1 or 3.4 shortblock - but, not sure how available that would be in Germany

There is one in the states, but that would probably cost a small fortune to ship.

Thanks for the link. Everything together would be around $1000 to get it here.
Is $500 a normal price for a kit?

I did a price comparison just buying individual parts and they came out about a hundred dollars cheaper than anyone else. I couldn't find anyone selling the same thing in kit form though.
