Here are some pics of an '84 race car that I got for $500 including ton of spare parts, features Kirkey seat, Autometer gauges, accusump oiler, harness, oil cooler, fire extinguisher, shut off switch, some other track stuff. Welded cage and race suspension were done by pro race shop, each alone probably cost a few times what I paid for whole car. Ran well when I got it, needed new clutch master/slave to shift and now it drives well. Got all the lights and signals working, changed all fluids, put on a Purple Hornies muffler (had a straight pipe before, terribly loud), new gear select cable after original broke, plus fixed some small stuff. Diagnosing battery drain problem when car shut off but other than that seems to working well. Planning to do the S10 brake booster and vented rotor upgrade soon, eventually an engine producing 2x the current bhp and this car will fly on road course.

Pic of relocated oil filter and oil cooler.

Accu-sump oiling system in passenger footwell.

Spartan interior. Autometer gauges.

and the BRUTAL (for a Duke....) powerplant...you can see the custom vented decklid. Accel wires, K&N filter.

Nice Car.

Although I can,t see too much of the decklid, are you sure that the decklid vents are custom.
The 84's had a vented decklid and solid side panels, while the later years had a solid decklid and vented side panels.
The vented side paneld from the notchbacks will fit in place of the solid ones on the 84.

Have fun with you'r new car.

Just be careful with that 84 decklid.. they tend to crack along the edge of the vent when mistreated and then they don't sit right when closed and really not right when open.
