Does anyone have a GM part number for the selector cable on the 88 GT manual transmission? Thanks.

You can also order from Rodney Dickman at: http://www.rodneydickman.com/retail.html

Look under the transaxle tab. His cables are a bit more expensive, but are preadjusted to the correct length and have all the hardward on them. You don't need to transfer end pieces. Less than $150 delivered.

Thanks to both of you. My cable appears to be kinked in a couple of places and you can't move it with a team of horses. Fine if you only want third and forth gears.

You missed the most important part. My cables have a heavy duty multilayer heat shielding on them. Cables get tight in time because of the heat from the engine and exhaust system. Heat is the main reason they fail. I install a heavy duty multilayer heat shield similar to the heat shielding used on the OEM cables made by GM. All other Fiero shifting cables offered in the market place today have very little heat shielding on them.

True, but I figured he could read the rest of the message for himself off your site.

Incidently, I just picked up one of these cables myself (along with some other stuff) - and - Yes, I did choose Rodney's cable above the others that were available. Convience, speed of installation, and durability - who could ask for more
