Searched Archives for 30mins, found 1/2 things I was looking for. First was replacing Windshield, the Material to use to seal it... Urethane sealant found at glass shops in calk tubes, warming it up for easier application.

2nd was, the sealant stuff to use on the roof panel to body.. couldnt find info on that, pulled windshield off today (in once piece since it was cracked) and pulled off the skin around it and the roof (solid) going to convert it to a sunroof, which I researched and found to be very simple. Any info on what sealant to use for attaching the new transplant sunroof skin in place would be helpful.

could I use the urethane sealant from doing the windshield for that also?

I believe the sealant originally used around the roof was Butyl rope.

You can use the urethane sealant, but be sure to don't wan't to pull the roof panel back off once that stuff sets up!! been there, done that.

before you reinstall the roof panel, make sure you have all the old sealer completely off the chassis, and the panel, if' there's too much buildup in one spot, the panel will not sit properly on the car.
