I just got a 95 camaro 3.4 engine to put in my 87 fiero GT , i know im going to have to drill the block for the starter on the opposite side ,but other then that ,any advise on any mods to make the job goes smoother.
I am a Mechanic in the Calif ,with 3 fiero ,so i am very exsperienced in working on fiero and most cars.
But never done a swap like this ,I went with the 3.4 because I live in Calif ,And as we all know we have strict smog laws to obey ,so i want a easy upgrade .
Any advise out thier on cams that work be good for a aggesive street driver ,without harming the smog system(not to much lift).
Also looking for a replacement engine wiring harness ,any out thier.
Thanks for all the help,
Mike

Welcome!

Here's a link to my swap, which is the same as yours, with the exception that my car in and 86 GT with a 4 spd. Here's a link to my build thread. I tried to document just about everything.

This one is the same as yours, 95 engine in an 87 GT using an automatic transmission. With the auto, you have to grind off part of the block.

Other helpful links are

Add one more. http://web2.crazydave.org:81/fiero34project/

This one and the Fiero Factory links are the ones I usually share for people interested in this swap.
Rodney Dickman sells the tool you'll need to drill the block for the starter relocation.
