just curious, v6 motor.

getting some valve ping and need to retard timing to see if thats whats causing it.

Counter clockwise for retard and clockwise for advance.

For future reference, if you look at the plug wires and think about the firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6 that will remind you which way the rotor is turning and then you can figure out which way advance is and which way retard is.
