Also, at idle my '87 Iron Duke kind of sounds like a diesal. But that sound goes away, once I start driving. Someone said it might be the timing gears. If so, what should I do about it? TIA

The rattle that goes away as the engine warms up is likely piston slap, something the Dukes are notorious for. Only fix for that is new pistons and a rebore. The plastic cam gear wears out and eventually strips, especially on engines with a history of poor maintenance. If you're changing cams you'll be installing a new one anyway. If the gear shows signs of significant wear be sure to check the pickup screen for clogging from cam gear fibers.

That above^^^ site doesn't give any info on cams for the Iron Duke. Has anyone had personal experiance with this brand or particular cam? What horsepower and torque ratings should I expect from it with my mods?

I don't feel that this is an appropriate cam. I can't find the specs for it, but guessing from the RPM range, the duration is too high unless you've done some serious work to your head and bottom end of the motor so you can take moving the powerband higher up the RPM range. So the answer is, a couple horsepower. Don't expect to keep up with a V6.
Find something with less duration, and unless you're seriously porting the head (not just a mild polish thing), a little less lift. That's my suggestion anyway, I'm no cam expert, but I think Lunati would tell you the same thing. The stock 2.5 bottom end just won't tolerate the RPM range that this cam is suited for.
