Who widens wheels? Any websites? If not, where can you buy sets with wider rear wheels? Something like 17x7s front with 17 or 18x10s or so in the back.

The only one I know of that does custom wheels to your specs is Simmons in Australia. Aus may know the company. I have a set of Simmons wheels in my Indy. Pretty expensive though. My rims cost me $350 a wheel in 1985. So they are probably a lot more now.

There was a silver Fiero GT at this past Fiero Factory swap meet that had widened rear wheels which had 265 somethings on the back (low profile and at least 17s on the back). I am concidering some sort of wide body mod maybe in the future.

Also, I think Boyd Coddington has 17x10 available for his Smoothie II Wheels (5 Spoke rims, Chrome).

Here's the link:

I spent many a night searching the web for a wheel/tire combo for my IMSA wb project
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/054893.html
and ended up building 5 x 4.75 adaptor plates for the rear and re-drilling the front hubs for the 5 x 4.75 bolt circle (the rear hubs aren't large enough to re-drill to the larger size). I'm using 275-40-17 on the rear with 10" rims and 225-45-17 on 8" rims for the front. It takes some planning to make it all work, but it can be done. It's cheaper to convert than to have custom rims made I would suspect.

VMMV,
Russ
