Thermostat housing 4.9 caddy--Well, for some reason the thermostat cover is leaking and in trying to tighten it down---I stripped the threads in the lower end of it which is in the aluminum housing-DOH! I tried to remedy this by resealing it with high temp atv and snugging the bolts back down, however, when I cranked her up it began to leak again.
I guess I will have to remove the housing---drill and retap the lower hole and find a new bolt to fit it. Any suggestions?
Thanks Jeff
