There is a very limited supply for these due to the fact it is a economy motor. A lot of people including myself would recommend adding 4 more cyl and 2.4 more Ltrs

Here are a few links for you

Also there is a member here with a web site that has a nice little write up of things to do.

There are loads of performance parts available for the Duke. Clifford Performance offers pistons, cams and I believe even headers are still availble. Trouble is that with this engine you can only do so much. There is one guy on this forum who claims to have squeezed the Duke to about 200 HP but I believe that he was plagued with some blow ups.
I guess it all comes down to how much HP you want. IMO, much above about 135 HP these engines start to operate in the "gray zone". I believe that the Duke is a fine engine for the purpose for which it was designed- a low revving economy engine. If you want the 135 HP at an affordable cost, you might try experimenting with a 30-50 HP shot of nitrous, but make sure that you don't run lean!!!!!

The absolute best thing I did with my 87 (be forewarned, the head is different on these motors than the 84-86 ones) was a port/polish and gasket match on my cylinder head. The motor really woke up from 35-65mph on-ramp sprints. The 87 has nice open chambers and a different design intake manifold. I drove a friend of mine's 86 with an isuzu 5spd and my 87 with an isuzu 5spd and my 87 Duke is a far better responding 4 cylinder. Retrofitting your 86 TB to fit the 87 manifold will take some work though.
