It's final! Getting power from a duke is like hitting myself with a hammer, nothing but pain. Iwant to keep my 4spd. Any suggestions on a motor swap? Does the 3.8 bolt to the trans? How about a caddy 4.5/4.9? Anyone know about the weights of these motors verses the 2.5?

I'm in the same boat. I've been wanting to do a 4.9, but have been a little concerned about the difficulties/cost of rebuilding one. The 3.4 DOHC and SC 3.8 are next on my list. There's lots of informtion in our archive, go check it out!
Rob, You should have bought the 88 that was (may still be) for sale just south of ave N on S. Harrison. 4cyl, 5 spd. Needs clutch, paint, right window, interior work. $400.
