I did some engine big engine work not too long ago and now when the car sits for awhile it gets close to overheating. The fan doesnt turn on at all. But when I hit the ac button the fan kicks in and the temp goes down too. Im guessing I probably screwed up some sensor that turns the fan on. Can someone show or tell me were it would be located on the V6??

Thanks!

In Jazz's picture, it's the one that sticks straight up, nearest the thermostat. The one with the single pin, round connector.
You can test everything in that entire circuit except the sensor by unplugging the wire from the sensor, and grounding the center wire in the connector. If all the circuitry is good, the fan will come on.

Here's the picture, it's the center one. On the left is the ECM temp sender and on the right is the cold start injector switch:

Ok so I found out what my problem was:

the sensor was never plugged back in. Can anyone tell me where I can locate this wire that connects to the sensor? Or where it comes off of? I tryed looking but found nothing.

I'll take a look after class and let you know for sure buy my wire got lost as well. I ended up disconnecting the large vacuume hose that connects to the plenum, and moved mmy cables off of the thermostat housing, then I found it lost under the large coolant tube. You may want to check there.
