I thought I seen some instructions on changing the pickup coil, with PICTURES! Anyone have this?

I believe you can test a pickup coil with a ohm meter. I don't have a manual in front of me but somebody should be able to tell you exactly how to test it and the ohm range for a good coil. I'd check it before replacing it unless this is the last straw.
