OK, heres the deal. I am still undecided on what engine swap I want to do. I started looking into the 3800 SC swap, and it sounds very interesting. My question are as follows.

1. Do I have to buy a kit to install this? I have decent fabricating skills, and the equipment to do it.

2. Will this bolt to the Fiero manual trans, or do I have to use the one for the 3800

3. What all do I need from the donor car?

4. What year engine should I look for, and if any, what specific car.

5. What other pointers can you give on doing the swap.

If anyone knows answers to any of these questions, please let me know.

Thanks,
Kris

1. You do not need a kit , but it would help buying few differant peices. You could fabricate for differant mounts to work or purchase mounts from West Coast Fiero

2. it will bolt up to your factory tranny but you will again need to buy a flywheel from a 3.8 camaro and have it turned down or buy one already machined from west coast fiero

3. Basically just enigne, harness and PCM

4. 96+ series 2 sc is preferable , you have to do the same work for the n/a as the sc version might aswell have the extra performance.

5. be patient and ask alot of questions. There is alot of great help on this forum. Go back and use the search functioin and you can learn alot of info,
