::SIGH:: this will probably ignite a tranny war, but hey...I've gotta know. What is the strongest, yet cheapest tranny that'll work superbly in the Fiero in conjunction with a 305 with some goodies? The way I see it, there's only one way to drive a car - flat out So, as you can imagine, my tranny will prolly be the first thing to go. What offers the best durability and is the cheapest to maintain/buy? I heard Isuzu tranny or something like that works, but they're not durable. I heard they get eaten like no other. I not sure but....does Getrag get the job I want it to done? What would be the best tranny for my application. Let me know... thanks a million and 3 guys! -Ben

Probably an automatic for your "driving style" would last longest. Any Fiero manual will break, but a BUILT

I agree. I have the Muncie and it is really gutsy, but a good auto will take more abuse.
