as i said, how much does it change the compression ratio, i want stroke my engine to a 3.1 then turbo it. Thanks in advance for any replies

Depends on the heads and pistons. If you stroke a 2.8 you have to use 3.1 pistons anyway, and 3.1's are available with both iron and aluminum heads which have very different chamber volumes.
