First off I have the Tom's headlight kit. Now heres what happens:

Drivers side works normal; but nothing at all from the right side.

Now when I have a wire running from a splice in the DS lowbeam wire over to the PS low beam this is what will happen:
Regular headlights on: DS low beam on full power; all other lights on very dim
High Beams on: DS both lights on full power, PS no lights at all

BUT: sometimes the kit works fine as long as you have that wire spliced over. otherwise... no right side lights. I have replaced the headlight control module and still the exact same thing.

Not having used Tom's kit, I don't know the specifics, but is this a recent problem? I mean, did the headlights work correctly at one point? Or have they not worked right since the install?

Have you checked all the grounds?

I'm thinking the same thing... it sounds like you're routing power back through the system somehow. When you're testing the passenger side with a "splice" from the driver's side - do you disconnect the exisiting wires from the the fixtures? If not, you may have something routed incorrectly... and could fry another control module!

What colored wires do you have hooked up to which fixtures? I'll try to check mine when I get home for reference...
