I dont want to spend much money on the engine of my 1986 2.5 5-speed. The engine needs an engine mount, and an EGR valve, as far as I know. What other GM cars use the same engine mount? The EGR valve should be the same as any other GM car with the same VIN engine code. I dont know if the tranny mounts are good or not, but incase they are not, what cars have the same mounts?

Thanks

Most usually they have the same part # for the part. That was my experience at O'reilly Auto. Besides the rear trans mount was only $7 and some change. Not too bad though.

Get new mounts from Auto Value. You can get ALL 3 for less than the price of just the front one from GM.

Any parts store has or can get the engine mount. Trans too usually.

read the mount article in my cave.

You don't want used engine mounts. many are liquid filled and they are usually shot. (sometimes they are bad new... read the cave article...)
The trans mounts are all likely to be pretty tore up as well.
