I had an alternator failure and pulled it and rebuilt it and decided to replace the serpentine belt as it was beginning to fail (cracks) Having a difficult time in the replacement process... I bought a replacement one from schuks and it is the proper size but so far I cannot get it to wrap correctly.. I can either try to do the crank pully last or the alternator last.. I have the alternator in position with the pivot bolt installed but not tightened down.. cant seem to find anything in the factory manual on this proceedure...

Anyone????

you need to use a socket to move the Idler pully to give you the slack you need to slip the belt on.

Just got off the phone with Ed at the Fiero Factory... Needed to put a socket on the Tensioner Pully and lever it towards the front of the car which drops it way down and allows you to slip the belt into place...

Thanks Ed.. If you happen to read this... Appreciat the help and also appreciate the answer from you also Kento..
