Start car and get to operating temp. Shut it off. Remove cigarette lighter cover panel, two T-15 torx screws. You will see the ALDL. Get a paper clip, bend to a "U" shape and short A and B of ALDL. A and B are lower row, far two terminals facing passengers side. Hook up your timing light, turn key to "on" SES light will flash code 12 three times, then error codes (if any) then back to code 12. Start car, engine will runs a little slow because shorting A and B removes all computer advance. Set timing to 10 BTDC. This would be the average of #1 and #4. You would have wanted to loosen the dist. hold down bolt. Clockwise to retard, counterclockwise to advance. Shut off car. Remove paper clip, reinstall panel.........Paul
