I ran 225/50-16 on my GA rims with stock ride height on my first 86SE. Those should be fine. Just watch for rubbing at ock. The 215/55's are just a tad larger than the 225/60-16's I ran.

Should be fine.

Edit: Mine were 91 rims. I don't know if the 96 offset changed much from 91.

I have a set of 16 inch tires if you need them (see my post in the mall). (2) 225 55 16 and (2) 255 50 16 . They are Kumho Ecsta - see tirerack.com for specs and reviews. These only have about 1500 miles on them. I'm using them on my kit car which has an extended nose that scrapes on driveways. Scraping will be a big NO NO now that Im ready for paint. I just ordered yokohama 225 60 16 which will give an inch more front end height. e-mail me a reasonable offer ...

I have 225/50 and 205/50 16s on my car. It handles and looks better with wider rubber on the back.
