Ok here is the deal. I have a friend with a 512BB Kit car. A few days ago his parking light lense (orange ones on hood) one of them broke. Now he is looking for a good pair for his kit car. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that sold good parking light covers for a 512BB or if they were possibly off of a 308GTS? Any of the kit car guys know. Let me know, thanks!

I have a BB512i. If you are referring to the large semi-rectangular lens on top of the front hood, the assembly cost $750 at the Ferrari dealer. The lenses are not available by themselves, but can be made up at a plexiglass dealer. Also, check e-bay. Someone has had this assembly up for bid for a while.

If your talking about the 'in the bumper' amber style on 308s, I know a guy here whos a Ferrari fanatic, has over a dozen himself. Also buys all the new parts he can find anywhere. Has a 2 story 150' square building full of parts from switches to complete running drivetrains. He sells those lenses new by themselves for $75-90 each, all OEM Ferrari- no replica parts. Let me know. Hes here in New Albany, Ohio about 30 minutes from me. First time I met him at his house we went out to his garage, then to the parts building. I was dumbstruck. rows and rows of new and used engines, trannies, wheels, you name it. If you want a used one, I broke one of mine and just bought 2 new ones from him and kept the old one. If you may want it, ill have to check in the attic to see what side I have.

That would be great. It was the passenger side but they may not match exactly so I dunno. My buddy might just get the 2 new ones. That would be what like $180 bucks? Let me know Roger what you can find out. Thanks again. BTW they are the amber light covers that are in the hood at the very bottom, I hope this is the same thing you are talking about, he has a 512BB so I dunno if they are the same.

heres the invoice. I was wrong, IT WAS BOTH NEW OEM original Carello for $90. Good luck. If you want a used one, the passenger side is the one I have...$20 with a very minor crack on the inside only thats barely noticable.

If you cant make it out, its

I think there might be some confusion about the 512BB (Berlinetta Boxer) and the 512TR (TestaRossa). The 512TR replaced the 512BB, which was last made in 1984. The 512BB has the big (and expensive) parking lights in the hood; the TR has them in the grill/bumper. I was going to replace the parking lights in my 512BB kit, but found out that the going aftermarket price was nearly $800 per pair, as already mentioned. Here in LA, the dealers used to charge about double that - but I believe they are no longer available from Ferrari. You might check the Aldino car company website, but expect to pay over $700 . The 512BB parking lights never had covers. I think Fibersmith makes the slatted covers that fit on top of the 308 model headlights, but they will probably need to be modified to fit the 512BB parking light spaces bcause the 512BB parking lights are more rectangular and the 308 slatted covers are square. Sorry to hear about your problem - I'm afraid there is no easy OR cheap fix ....
