What is the quickest way to get the alt off an 87 2.5.

The high temp today is 45 and I do not want to be out in the driveway all day.

I will answer my own question.

Unless someone knows an esier way:
1.Remove the right rear tire.
2.Take rear toe adjuster loose from spindle (this will not affect your rear toe adjustment
3.Remove oil filter
4.Unbolt alt and remove through wheel opening.
5.Install is the reverse.

Between 65-75 depending on retailer. Pep Boys in IL has it for 79.99 plus 20.00 Core charge refundable when you bring the old one back. My advice...Take the old one off and bring it to the parts house to get the new one. This enables you to match the new one out of the box, with your old one to ensure it fits. You also avoid the core charge.

Hope it helps Keep us posted.
