I'm looking to shave the moldings and door handles on my car here in a few days and I'm thinking of using "kitty hair" I think that's what it's called. It's like a mixture of fiberglass and bondo. I was just wondering how well this would work. I thought it would be nive because the bondo would build up well and the fiberglass would keep it from breaking apart/cracking...I hope. Any input?

It will probably still crack around the edges.
Try drilling holes in the recess to help it bond even better. Build the area up with fibreglass strips and shape it. No need for Bondo if done right. You should only need high fill primer.

I'm shaving the door handles on The Rat as soon as I get the parts in and plan on using just fiberglass. I'll document the process in a thread on the forum when I do it.
