I need to the 3.4L Motor casting number that is located on the block. The '93-'95 Camaro/firebird motor is what I am looking for. (Not the new 3.4L crate motor).

I am trying to get a 3.4L shortblock motor assembled and need to know the casting number that is located on the block.

Please help guys.
Thank you in advance

Don't know the actual casting number, but there is a big "F" cast in the side of the block. Hope that helps.

I think there is a 7 or 10 digit block casting number somewhere near the "f" letter.
Can anybody help me?

my-fiero.
Plesae take the pictures off all the castinging numbers that you can find. I appreciate it very much.

When I order a short block I want to cross reference it to these casting numbers.

It appears that in Texas, there are over four different 3.4L blocks. I need to make sure I get the right block that you guys are all using.

I have my engine sitting on a stand in the shop. I just went to look at it and the only signifigant number I found is marked on the right trans mount ear all of the others are single or double alpha-numerical. The number I came up with is A941025104. This engine is out of a 94 Camaro. Any other numbers may be gone now as I am smoothing out the excessive casting flash. Let me know if this helps, if you need more info just ask the numbers may still be there I just may not have seen them. Jason

I want to personally thank my-fiero and Fierofreak00 on providing me with the 3.4L block casting numbers. This will help me purchase a 3.4L shortblock.
Many thanks again.

Be careful. I'm not completely certain that those numbers (the stamped in ones) are not VIN numbers of the donor car, or serial numbers of some sort. Not saying that's the case. Just saying it *could* be.

Not that I've got anything better for you. Sorry.

The other numbers.. The 3E93, and the other one, surrounded by the three bolts, *do* appear to be casting numbers.
