This 3.1L is not presently in a Fiero, but... I trust the feedback from you folks. (My Fiero is running fine)
My daughter's car is a Chevy Lumina APV. (And, of course, I get the pleasure of working on this silly thing)
It was barely running with no power. Took off the valve covers and intake manifold to repair an obvious cooling pipe leak, and guess what I saw...
the pushrod is bent and nearly broken on the #3 cyl exhaust valve. I was able to find a new pushrod at AutoZone. (Grinn) Went to install the pushrod and (Woops)it appears the valve is stuck down in the open position.
What could this be? Do I need a new head? Or even a piston? Or a new engine? Anyone have any experience with this malady?...or any ideas of what to expect next?
