my bro and i were driving around today, and i noticed that the volt meter needle bounces in time with the turn signal. and sometimes at a stop, when the bass hits in the stereo, the needle will move very slightly.

is this normal?

Mine does it. At idle with the turn signal on it will bounce the volt meter needle a bit in time with the turn signal.

...and make sure the connections for the ground braid between the engine and the passenger-side decklid hinge are clean and tight.

Get the braided ground strap replaced, you can get them at any parts store, and move it to a direct fram connection. The hinge stud is a crappy location for it. Try the side of the bracket the hinge is bolted to or any other solid frame area.

read wire service in my cave.
