When replacing rack bushing does inner tierod need to be removed and if so can it be reused or will a new one be required? Its an 88 and its staked to rack.

I recently replaced the bushing in my '88 Formula. Yes, the tie rod does have to be removed, and you may or may not be able to re-use it. If the bushing is worn enough to replace, the inner tie rod end is probably worn enough to replace as well.

Going to replace tie rod and bushing. Cheaper and easier than buying BIG Wrench!
Bushing and rod coming from Rodney Dickman.
Thanks for input

I'm in the process of replacing my steering rack bushing with
one of Rodney's. which way does the bushing go in? also, there
are two nails and two screws that came with the bushing what
are these for. in the instructions it say something to use the
two rivets, how? anybody got pics of their install.

thanks,
toms...
