I am just about ready to stuff a LB 2.8 into my car, but then I realized that it would be a great time to check my injectors.
I have a 12 injectors from two 2.8's, I am betting that at least 6 of them are reuseable. SO my question is how do i check them? I hear its good to replace the O rings on them, so is this any special O ring or can i just find a size that fits and move on?
Assuming I have extra cash to spend, where can I get new or rebuilt injectors for cheap? I noticed the fiero STore is sellinga set of tomco injectors for $379.00
I remember hearing about a place that rebuilds them, but how long will this take and does anyone have any reccomendations?
Thanks guys, all your help is priceless.

http://www.cruzinperformance.com/fuelinj.html this guy will clean & flow test all 12 injectors, and then you can put in the 6 with the most matched flow rates, what they call balancing the injectors. he charges like $12/injector

If you want the Tomcos, I have them from my old engine. They have less than 3000 miles on them, make me an offer if you want them.
I'm sad to say that there is no way I would be able to compensate you for the high price those injectors command. I would be embarrassed to offer what I can so thanks for the offer, but I humbly decline. I'll just pick out the best six I can find and use those.
On a side note whats the turn around time for this guy to test my injectors at that web link? Anyone know offhand?

I have the tomco injectors from the Fiero store and I love them, they are rated at 15.9 lbs/hr and have the rotary disc design to prevent clogging from carbon deposits..they are a big over the ones than came on my 1988 GT. Tomco makes injectors for Lucas. Hey connecticutFIERO, the stock injectors you have are alot of money if you are going to get them new (over $100. a piece) I am thinking about putting stock ones on e-bay...they are in perfect shape...what you can do is sell your and get some new ones! ------------------ 1988 Gary Tucker (GT)

I had mine rebuild and tested. They work as new and you (should) get a print of the flow test results too. It was about $250 but I got almost new injectors back. Replacing the fuelfilter on a regular basis will help to save them in the future

All this talk of injectors.... I have a '87 SE and I know I have 4 leaky injectors. So, I need new ones, but I don't want Tomco or brand new injectors since I want to do a 3800 conversion in about a year, year and a half. Anybody have a set of good working injectors?

Hey Dropzone, the 87 SE has only one injector, because it is the throttle body injection setup. A new one runs around $60 or so. They are almost indestructable though, never seen one fail yet, but what the hey....
